ZYAZIKOV, Murat Magometovich

Former President of the Republic of Ingushetia,

Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation

Zyazikov

Born September 10, 1957 in the city of Osh, Kirgizya.

Graduated from the Tolstoy Chechen-Ingush State University and from the Southern Russia Humanitarian Institute.

In January 2002, appointed deputy presidential envoy to the Southern Federal District.


On April 28, 2002, elected president of the Republic of Ingushetia. On October 30, 2008, Zyazikov was dismissed of his post. On October 31, however, he was appointed as the advisor to the President of the Russian Federation.

Member of the State Council of the Russian Federation since June 2003.

Married, with three sons.
