TIKHONOV, Vladimir Ilyich

Born February 4, 1947 in Volotovo village, Lezhnevsky district of Ivanovo region.
Graduated in 1965 from Shuya Industrial College, in 1972 from the Ivanovo Energy Institute and in 1978 - from the Kostroma Technological Institute.
Also graduated in 1998 from the Moscow Diplomatic Academy to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russian Federation.
December, 1995, elected deputy of the State Duma.
1998, Chairman of the Committee for Economic Policy, co-chairman of the Budget Comission.
December, 1999, re-elected deputy of the State Duma.
December 17, 2001, elected Head of Administration of Ivanovo region.
Married, two daughters.
