SHERSHUNOV, Viktor Andreyevich
Head of the Administration of the Kostroma region
Born Nov. 16, 1950 in Lenger, Chimkent region of Kazakhstan (the then Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic).
Graduated in 1977 from Kazan State University.
December 22, 1996, elected head of the Administration of Kostroma region.
December 24, 2000, re-elected to this post with 63% of the vote in second tour.
January, 1997 - January, 2001, member of Federation Council of Federal Assembly of Russian Federation.
September 20, 2007 - Died in a car accident near Moscow.
Candidate degree in economics.
Married. With three sons.
