POPOV, Andrei Anatolyevich
Head of the Presidential Domestic Affairs Department
Born June 28, 1963 in the Rudny-Kustanay region of Kazakhstan.
1986 - graduated from the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys.
1986-1989 - engineer, Tulachermet research institute of ferrous metallurgy,Tula
1989-1993 - worked at the Sokolovsko-Sarbaisky complex and the Komposit small enterprise, Volgograd.
December 1993 - elected State Duma deputy as a member of the Agrarian Party of Russia (APR)
Jan. 1996-1999 -general director of the FinPA JS (joint-stock) venture
1999-February 2000 - aide to the head of the Presidential Administration
February 2000-February 2001 - head of the main Internal Policy Directorate of the Presidential Administration
February 2001-Present - head of Main Territorial Directorate of the Presidential Administration
Married, with three children.
