PlushenkoYevgeny Plushenko
Figure Skater

born November 3, 1982 in Solnechny, near Khabarovsk

Six-time National Champion, five-time European Champion, three-time World Champion, and 2002 Winter Olympics Silver medalist in figure ice-skating.

1993 – At the age of 11, Plushenko moved from Volgograd to St. Petersburg to train with Alexei Nikolaevich Mishin

1995 – Becomes the youngest Junior World champion in figure skating history

1997 – became the World Juniors Champion, and placed second at both Skate America and the Cup of Russia

1998 – took First place in NHK Trophy

1999 – won the national championships, first place at the Cup of Russia and second place at the World Championships

2000 – named European Champion

2001 – named World Champion, European Champion and National Champion

2002 – Silver Olympic Medalist at the Salt Lake City games

2003 – World Champion, European Champion, First place at the International Figure Skating Challenge

2004 – World Champion, National Champion, Second place at the European Championships

2005 – World Championships W/D, European Champion, National Champion, first place at the Cup of Russia
