ARTAMONOV, Anatoly Dmitriyevich

Born in 1952, in Krasnoye village, Khvastovichsky district of Kaluga region.
1974 - graduated from the V.P. Goryachkin Institute for Ingineers of Agricultural Production, Moscow
November, 1996 - elected vice-governor of Kaluga region.
November 12, 2000 - elected governor of Kaluga region with 56.72% of the vote.
April, 2002 - named governor of the year by the Russian Biographical Institute
March 14, 2004 - re-elected governor with 66.86% of the vote
July 21, 2005 - nominated by President Vladimir Putin to retain his position. Confirmed by the Kaluga regional duma on July 26
Married, with son and daughter.
Hobbies: hunting, tennis, horseback riding
