AGAPTSOV, Sergei Anatolyevich
 Born Dec. 25, 1961 in the village of Pronin, Serafimovichsky district, Volgograd region.
1981 - graduated from the Mikhailovsk Pedagogical School with honors 1986 - graduated from Volgograd State University where he majored in history
1986-1989 - taught history in secondary school and worked as the senior history teacher in Volgograd Agricultural Institute; during this time, Agaptsov was also the adviser of the House of Political Education in Volgograd.
1989-1992 - post-graduate study at the Academy of Social Sciences of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (currently the Academy of Public Service of the President of the Russian Federation).
1992-1995 - worked as a senior lecturer at the Volgograd Academy of State Services and was also the director of the industrial firm Rasagromet
January, 1995-1998 - worked as the deputy the general director of a tractor parts plant
1996-2001 - served as general director of the same plant.
1998 - elected to the Volgograd regional Duma where he served as head of the budget and taxes committee
January 2001-December 2004 - Federation Council member for Volgograd region, Member of the Committee for the Budget.
February 2002 - December 2004 - chairman of the Federation Council Commission for Relations with the Audit Chamber of the Russian Federation
Married with two children (son and daughter)
