KHAKAMADA, Irina Mutsuovna
Chair and founder of the Free Russia democratic Party

Born April 13, 1955, in Moscow
1978 - graduated from Patrice Lumumba University of International Friendship in Moscow with a degree in economics. 1984 - received graduate degree from Moscow State University, thesis on the French economy.
1980-1985 - junior researcher at the Reasearch Institute of State Planning of the Russian Federation
1985 - worked at the Likhachev Technical University machine-building factory as a senior lecturer, assistant professor and deputy chair director
1993 - elected to Russia's first State Duma
1994 - organized the group "Liberal-Democratic Union of December 12"
1994 -became a member of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy
1995 - re-elected to the State Duma
1996 - became a member of the State Duma Committee on Budgeting, Taxation, Banking and Finance
October 1997- appointed chairman of the State Duma Committee on Small Business Support and Development
December 1999 - became President of the Institute of Small Business Development
January-June 2000 - became member of the State Duma Committee on Budgeting and Taxation
May 2000 - elected Speaker of the State Duma
May 2001 - elected co-chairman of the Union of Right Forces Party (SPS)
2003 - lost re-election bid to the State Duma
2004 - unsuccessfully ran for president as an opposition candidate against Vladimir Putin. Finished 4th with 3.84% of the vote
2004 - founded the Free Russia Democratic Party shortly after election.
Hobbies: literature, aerobics, classical music, tennis
Married to fourth husband Vladimir Sirotinsky. They have a daughter, Maria. She has a son, Daniil, from first marriage.
