KOVALCHUCK, Yuri Valentinovich
Chairman of the Board of the Center for Strategic Research North West
Born: July 25, 1951 in Leningrad.
1974 - graduated from the Department of Physics, Leningrad State University.
1985 - Doctor’s Degree in physics and mathematics.
1977-1988 - scientific work, the A.F. Ioffe Physical and Technical Institute at the Academy of Science of the USSR.
1988-1991 - First Deputy Director at the A.F. Ioffe Physical and Technical Institute. During his work at the Institute Yuri Kovalchuck became an author of more than a hundred scientific works and inventions, received The State Prize of the USSR in physics and mathematics (1989).
1991 - President of the Center for Innovative Technologies and Research.
2000 - Founded the Center for Strategic Research North West and has been Chairman of the Board ever since.
Yuri Kovalchuck is also Chairman of the Board of the “Rossia” Bank.
