Graduated from the Lomonosov State University, degree in Economics.
Worked for a number of years in UNESCO.
2000-2004 - Vice-President and Executive Secretary, Russian Chamber for Entrepreneurs and Industrialists.
Since 2005 - First Vice-President, Director of the Government Relations Department, “Renaissance Capital”.
At present Mr. Urgens is Chairman of the Committee for financial markets and credit organizations, at the Trade and Industry Chamber of the Russian Federation. He is a member of the Presidium of the Council for Foreign and Defense Policy; He is also Vice-Chairman of the Foundation for Parliamental Development.
