Russia Profile and its proprietor, Russian News and Information Agency “Novosti” (Vesti) maintain full copyright to Russia Profile’s original published material. Written consent from the editor is required in order to republish any Russia Profile work in printed materials.

Given the above, Russia Profile allows the republication of most of the original material published in Russia Profile magazine or on RussiaProfile.org web site free of charge. Restrictions may apply to some materials.

Requests to reprint Russia Profile material can be made by sending e-mail to permission@russiaprofile.org or fax to +7 (495) 637-3071.
Your letter should contain the following information: your organization, contact person, position, e-mail address, telephone number, fax , URL of web site, title of article are would like to reprint, author, publication date, details of your publication (newspaper, magazine, book, web site, newsletter, educational material, other), approximate date of publication, language of publication.
Upon receiving your request, Russia Profile will assess it and reply by email within two business days.
Please note that Russia Profile assesses all reprint requests on a case-by-case basis, which is dependent on the nature of the media in which our material is to be republished.
Please be advised that when articles or photographs are credited to a source other than Russia Profile (such as The Moscow Times, Russia in Global Affairs  etc.), it is likely that the credited source holds the rights to the material and should be contacted directly.
Most Russia Profile photographs are owned by outside proprietors and thus cannot be re-licensed.

Internet links

Generally,  Internet links to Russia Profile material do not require reprint permission. However, those intending to do so are advised to notify Russia Profile about such desire.
We emphasize that posting Russia Profile materials on other websites does require a formal permission from Russia Profile.

License Agreement

Upon receipt of the Russia Profile materials you agree on all terms and conditions of the mentioned below agreement. We remind that violation of the exclusive copyrights of  Russia Profile and/or terms and conditions of the present agreement shall entail criminal liability in conformity with legislation of the Russian Federation.
 
1. Photos and articles remain the property of Russia Profile and Russian Information Agency “Novosti” (Vesti) . They may not be syndicated, rented, loaned or sold by any other party without the written consent of Russia Profile.
2. Articles may not be modified, altered or changed in any way which alters the meaning, tone or general context of the articles, or which renders the article libelous or in any way in violation of the rights of any third party or applicable law, regulation or rule.
3. Photographs may not be altered, modified or changed in any way which alters the identification, meaning or general context of the photograph or any subject therein.
4. In the event that a customer makes alterations, changes or deletions to purchased Russia Profile material which alter the meaning or tone of the material, render it libelous or injurious to any third party, or infringe on the copyright, trademark, trade name, or literary or artistic or other property or any other rights of any person, firm or corporation, the customer shall indemnify and save harmless Russia Profile and its proprietor, RIA Novosti,  to the extent of any and all expense and liability, including attorneys№ fees incurred in such connection.
5. Russia Profile does not confer upon any customer any right whatsoever to the use of the name or likeness of any individual portrayed in photographs. To the extent that permission is required from any individual depicted in photographs to exploit his or her name, photograph and likeness, you acknowledge that the responsibility for obtaining such permission resides with you and not Russia Profile.
6. All republished materials must credit the author and/or photographer and clearly acknowledge that the material was first published in Russia Profile.
