Geography: The Vladimir region is located in Central European Russia and borders on Yaroslavl, Ivanovo, Moscow, Ryazan and Nizhny Novgorod regions. The Klyazma river flows through the region.

Economy: Vladimir is one of Russia's most economically developed regions. The most important industries are engineering and metalworking, production of food, glass, chemicals and building materials, forestry and woodworking. Tourism is also well-developed in the area as several cities on the Golden Ring are located there.
