Born Nov. 8, 1963 in the village of Afanasovo, Noginsk district, Moscow region
1986 - graduated from the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys, majored in engineering and metallurgy
1986-1988 - served in the Soviet Army
1988-1989 - postgraduate study in Central Scientific Research Institute of Technology of Mechanical Engineering (Russian acronym – TsNIIMASH)
1988-1991- engineer-technologist at TsNIIMASH
1991-1993 - department chief of the association of economic interaction "GARO"
1993-1996 - executive director of joint-stock company "ROMI-ROSS"
1996-2001 - CEO of "Interkrakhmal" enterprise, president of "Russian Krakhmalproducty" enterprise, chairman of the Supervisory council of Krakhmalproducty" enterprise
Jan. 2001- appointed to the Federation Council from Ryazan region
Feb. 2002 - Chairman of the Federation Council Commission for Natural Monopolies
Member of the Committee for Constitutional Legislation
Representative of the Legislative Assembly (Suglan) of Evenkia Autonomous District in the Federation Council.
2006 - appointed Auditor of the Accounts Chamber.
Married, with two children.
